to the International Society of Organ
Preservation
- The Society is dedicated to the advancement of the science
and technique of organ preservation for transplantation, the
dissemination of knowledge related to the fields of organ preservation
and transplantation, and increasing public awareness of the
benefits of organ donation.
- The Society seeks to credential a bona fide member as a Certified
Transplant Organ Preservationist (CTOP I or II) who will have
met the necessary requirements through clinical experience,
written examination and laboratory practicum. The credential
is recognized by professionals in the field of clinical organ
preservation as suitable training in the capacity of CTOP.
- The Society will host annual professional conferences to provide
a forum for reporting advances in the field of organ preservation
- The Society is preparing to publish a newsletter for reporting
of advances in the field of organ preservation and transplantation.
- The Society endeavors to increase public awareness of organ
donation and transplantation through collaborating with existing
public awareness groups.
